Electrical & Computer Engineering Student ยท EE Intern

Nathan Asbury

Building practical electrical systems and smart technology at The Ohio State University, expected graduation Fall 2026.

About Me

I'm Nathan โ€” an electrical engineering student who got hooked on the field the moment I realized I could make things *think*. Not just turn on and off, but actually respond, adapt, and solve problems.

That curiosity led me from tinkering with circuits in my garage to building G.H.O.S.T., a smart home system that runs on a Raspberry Pi and actually understands what I'm asking. It's not about the tech for its own sake โ€” it's about building things that make life a little more seamless.

When I'm not debugging code or explaining Fourier transforms to students, you'll find me marching with the OSU band, volunteering, or figuring out how to make the next project just a little bit better than the last one.

I believe the best engineers aren't just technically skilled โ€” they're curious, adaptable, and genuinely care about the people who use what they build. That's the kind of engineer I'm working to become.

What's Next

I'm graduating in May 2026, and I'm looking for opportunities where I can work on problems that actually matter โ€” sustainable energy, smart infrastructure, systems that make a real difference.

I'm particularly interested in roles that blend hardware and software, where I can see the full picture from circuit design to user experience. I thrive on teams that value curiosity over credentials and results over process theater.

If you're building something meaningful and need someone who's not afraid to learn fast and ship faster, let's talk.

Problems I Want to Solve

  • Making renewable energy systems smarter and more accessible
  • Building infrastructure that anticipates needs instead of just reacting
  • Bridging the gap between powerful technology and everyday usability
